The Morean Arts Center presents
Seeing the Unseen: Macro Nature Photography Workshop with Matthew Cicanese

Closer, closer… a little closer–discover all the beauty you are passing by in this 3-day adventure with National Geographic Explorer photographer Matthew Cicanese. Matthew’s work examines “underdog organisms”, threatened ecosystems, and human interactions with the environment.  In this workshop, you will learn about lenses and lighting and how to identify what you are looking at. Art and science come together. Friday will start in the classroom and will include an afternoon field trip. Saturday we will take an all day adventure to Myakka River State Park. Sunday you will edit and tone images for critique with guidance from Matthew. Students must have manual exposure understanding of their camera and a macro lens.
